Cedar Plank Lemon Herb Salmon
For an impressive grilling meal, it doesn’t get much better than a salmon fillet dotted with unctuous and bright butter. Also delicious with Basil Pesto Butter.
INGREDIENTS
- 1 (2-pounds) salmon fillet with skin (1 1/2 inches thick), lightly seasoned with salt and pepper
- Medlee Lemon Herb Butter
- Equipment: a cedar grilling plank (about 15 by 6 inches)
INSTRUCTIONS |
SERVES 6 |
- Soak cedar grilling plank in water to cover 2 hours, keeping it immersed.
- Preheat grill to medium-high.
- Put salmon on plank, skin side down (if salmon is too wide for plank, fold in thinner side to fit). Grill, covered with lid, until salmon is just cooked through and edges are browned, 13 to 15 minutes.
- Remove plank and salmon from grill. Add Medlee Lemon Herb Butter medallions on top of salmon, allowing butter to melt and salmon to rest before serving.
Note: Salmon can be grilled without plank on lightly oiled grilled grates, over indirect heat 8 to 15 minutes.
